Yep! I knew it. It sounds like yours came apart worse than mine. Picture time.

Also Lee check to see if the clutch fork dug into the bell housing where the slave rod comes through. Because when the throwout bearing breaks and there's no resistance anymore the slave cylinder will binde the clutch fork against the wall and dig into it. A die grinder will smooth it out perfect. And WB9MCW is right about the Fidanza. If you can affort to dish out $325 on a Fidanza and a good clutch disk or a more high performance clutch then it only makes sense to do it while your at this point. I'm sure glad I did.

rhisper, Thanks for all the help...not so bad so far and if I had done it before it would be failrly simple. Having -=Jeff=-, Pete, and Dominic assist has also been a big plus..

Not looking forward to putting the C beams back.

This job is much easier with the headers.....I bet cats get in the way.

Definetely not rocket science. Just allot of manual labor thats all. And it's a hell of allot cheaper than paying a shop to do it thats for sure. All of the chevy dealers around here charge $98 and hour for labor.

you are likely done already but the C beam plates make the job much easier and enhance the way the car drives by stiffening up the mounting points on the cbeam

I have a set ready to ship if you need em, $160 shipped out

they really work well and make the job much easier. perfect time to put them in
