Pete, the extra wires I don't think started until 91.

Pete,

I'm using those connections for my WB. If you're taking the rpm signal at the
diag connector I can pull 12v switched and ground from there and just run it as a harness to the interior.

Dom, my WB has cigarette lighter cord for powering the WB.

Pete,

I believe the LM-2 was built to work that way. The ZT-2 isn't. In fact, the instructions specifically state not to use the cigarette lighter for power.
When I first got mine I did use the lighter and it worked fine. I also had TPS output being logged by the ZT-2. It worked fine and then the car started running erratically with TPS signal being interfered with by WB. Once I hooked it up to switched power and used ECM ground the problem went away.
