I have a 93 with headers and Heibeck chip, ran 157mph in the mile shoot out in Vegas. Those with top end work were running 160+.
Thanks, Jerry |

Altitude affects speed - Texas Mile stockers are around 155 at about 400 ft above sea level. Next biggest effect is ambient temperature.
http://www.texasmile.net/results/Oct...leResults.html and look for car 107. That ZR-1 is mildly modified with Vette Drs top end.

Yes, altitude, Vegas is at least 1,000 above sea level as is Phx
Could run 3 to 4 more MPH at sea level You will have to go thru tech |

Las Vegas (Nellis AFB) is at 1840'
There were 5 ZR-1's and the slowest was 156.4. The results are posted here: http://www.openroadracing.com/html/2008hrms.html Cheers, RH

Doing the mile run is definitely on my bucket list.
Even tho I live close enough to easily do the Maxton Mile, their restrictions have put me off. I'm now looking at the Texas Mile or possibly going to Vegas (hey Ron, you got a spare bedroom?) ![]() George |
