radar detector placement V1???

You can put the remote box anywhere you wish. The power cord is the same as telephone wire. I put mine in my AC vent because I wanted it high so I keep my eyes on the road. In reality, its no big deal where you put the thing.
In my C5, I have it mounted in my ashtray so its low just like Jeff has it in his Z.

I guess I am not using the right term so as to confuse everyone.
I am asking about the placement of the actual sensor that picks up the radar ahead.
Is it mounted in the front bumper/license plate or some other location?

I put the radar detector on the visor. The remote units only fuction is to move the lights to a different location and it also allows you to mute it.

Presumably you have the original windshield, so if it is on the visor you still get good coverage? I know that my speedpass for tolls must be in the cutout, and when I hook up a radar detector, it must be in the cutout area as well.
