There is a cigarette lighter connector that unplugs to allow the removal of the counsel, possibly not plugged in.

Great information zr1don. I'll check that out in the next few days. Tomorrow I'm going to work on changing to engraved coolant pipes and an engraved throttle body plate. Thanks for the heads up.

On the oil you may want to read what Marc Haibeck has to say about the new formulations with respect to flat tappet motors....zinc & something else I forgot is being reduced for EPA regs...but we need that stuff in our motors.
In a word AMSOIL 10w-40 full syn is the word from Marc. The 5w-30 is a bit too light, I humbly suggest M1 10w-30 full syn with either a M!/207 or the Bosch 3401 filter....either one..oh yea, Marc also had a write up on the filters too..for oil retention after shut down. This stuff is in our newsletter, Heart Of The Beast....just another reason to join the netreg....if you're not a member. ![]() I'm one of the ones that does a filter only change. I use 5k miles as an oil change interval, with a filter swap out @ 2500 miles....my 90 looses about a qt by the 2500 mark anyway so I have to add oil & well might as well do the filter & take two & hit to right center ![]() https://secure.mysuperpageshosting.c...com/index1.htm you may want to read up on the stuff. JMHO ![]() Tom reading is important....I se you're from AK so the 5w-30 full syn might be the correct choice. I'm sure its colder in Anchorage than in NYC.
