Re: Oxygen Sensor Extension Harness
Kinda looks like some valves have kissed that cleaned up piston.
Am I seeing things?

Re: Oxygen Sensor Extension Harness
Given what appears to be rust on the cylinder liners and pistons I'd speculate head gasket/coolant leak problem with the possibility of hydraulic lock consequences.

Re: Oxygen Sensor Extension Harness
Rusty cylinders. It was not put away (stored) nice. It looks like the heads were pulled and the water/antifreeze left in the cylinders. No Valves hit, just crappy pictures. Broken chain wear strips, alot of metal in the front cover/pan area. I will take it down this weekend, hope that the crap in the front area is just crap that fell in. Not made from the bottom end.

Re: Oxygen Sensor Extension Harness
Hey John
It's a 368 that SGC built. Mike of EES bought the car, then went on to build a new block 396. This short block has 4 or 5 k miles on it, was bought by Lee but never moved from Mikes shop. Lee thought it was clean enough to put heads on and go. The real deal is it's rusted and need a full tear down. Later today, I will see whats inside. I hope it will stay a 368, but whatever it needs to make it right and run again. If junk then it will be bigger 377 or 385. If I could find a good used Crank (385 or 402) I'd take it, Jeff.... |
