Re: Barrett Jackson Fall 2024
I finally watched my recording of this part of the auction yesterday and I was surprised and disappointed by the incredible lack of knowledge about the ZR-1s on the part of the commentators and announcers. One described the engines as being designed by General Motors rather than Lotus, another time said he thought that the targa tops were fixed roofs like the older Z06s, only correcting that by the time '93 rolled across the block, and they really never showed good pictures of the engines. Only once was a hood up and they did not get more than a second or two on the engine. Still strong results overall for cars that all need to go to Marc for thorough revivals if they are to be driven at all. Buy maybe they will, sadly, just be garage art. --Bob
