i forget the # for the mufflers....i found them by size(so they would fit) and by the tips i wanted. i honestly dont think they were for a vette at all, but they work great. as for the xpipe i just had my exhaust guy pull out the resonator and weld in strait pipes on both sides. i think the mufflers were 2.5 or 2.75 because i remember him having to put a step down flang on the straight pipes. thats one of the cool things about doing your exhaust......customize it! you dont have to buy a pre made kit for exactly what they have designed for your car. put three mufflers on the danm thing if you want. i realy wish i would have got more creative with mine and still may some day! i would like an exhaust that came out in the center of the rear bumper....like the c6's. make it stand out and you want people to see it and say (man i'v never seen that...cool!). you dont want three guys standing around saying( ya, i've got that one too).......do you?

now you got me going there was a guy down in B.G. this year that had electronic dumps on his Z! i can garanteeeee they dont make that in an ZR-1 kit. and they sounded amazing when he(muscles) would open them up. oh and buy the way he won the zr-1 shoot out over at the track i had never seen dumps on a ZR-1! moral of the story here is dont be afraid to step out of the box when adding new parts to your beast. just think if callaway or rippie had said(better not change that).....or even dave mcclellan had said(no you better not mess with that, just stick to the standard stuff) oh well, you get the picture. i'll shut up! i have a soft spot when it comes to people wanting to keep everything the same as everyone else has it. CUSTOMIZE and make it YOUR ZR-1

Sorry it took so long in the middle of sinking a 1000ft well . I found the invoice from summit. its from dyno max part no wlk 17554.heres what i did i just cut out the resonator and put in the 3 in. so i went 21/2 to 3in resonator back to 21/2 to the stk flowmaster mufflers . no resonance almost as quiete as stk and more power . just the way i like it sneeky . no i got to port the heads . but i have to pay for this well first

Thanks for that jon. zr1assassin, if the mufflers are 2.5", perhaps you used the LT1 cat back system?

What do you mean it feels better at the top end. Were you driving 180 MPH or did you really mean near the red line?
