Re: Joined the club
Great to have another ZR-1 from Illinois, especially one that looks exactly like my dearly departed 1995 (#409). Good thinking to take it up to Marc and Bob for a look over. From when I purchased my first ZR-1 in 1994 they both have gone to Haibeck for service and mods. When I got my '95 in 2012 it went straight to Marc for him to got through it thoroughly, change fluids and anything else it needed (serp belt was on a couple of threads). He found issues I would never have even thought to ask about, including an old hidden alarm system that he removed for me. When there I had him add a Hurst short shifter, 4.10 gears and a Corsa exhaust--great improvements to a great car. But be careful-you will eventually want more. The next year I had him do his 510 HP package. It was a really great car then! When Spring arrives, the next time we have an FBI gathering at Shoeless Joe's Pizza in Itasca you will have to come up. (FBI: Fast Boys of Illinois).--Bob

Bob, he knew I had the wrong serpentine belt by looking at it, a front suspension bar was upside down, etc. etc. etc. What I really saw was how much they both put in to the cars there. Looking forward to when mine gets the call when they are ready (oh and there is a lissssssstttttt). I'm sure it'll be ready for the Shoeless Joe's Pizza this spring. JimS |

I didn't mind the wait at all...in fact, I took it as an indicator that he took his time to fix our cars correctly. Once my car got to his shop, I never had any sense that there was a time pressure to get my car out so the next one could get in. So rare these days! John

I'm telling you I was in ZR-1 heaven when I was there. They could tell me 6-12 months and it would be worth the wait. |

Welcome to the Illinois family of ZR-1 owners!
That is a beautiful car! I am counting the days until the next "Marc-acue" at his shop. Looking forward to seeing your car in person. Sent from my SM-G955U using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |

Re: Joined the club
Welcome to the "Madness" that is ZR-1! Marc is great to work with, and I have had three ZR-1's and he has had all three of them in his shop. I live in Michigan and gladly drive the four and a half hours to his place, for repairs/maintenance, etc. While I'm there, I get to see other people's cars and find out what he is working on. Hope to meet you at one of the events.

Welcome to the Brotherhood! And, case nobody told ya, your in the middle of "FBI" (aka Fast Boyz of Illinoiz) territory! The group consists of ~ 16? ZR-1s in the immediate Chicagoland area that gets together in the driving months, several times for pizza nites and occasional road trips and drag racing!
Nested in the FBI are several very talented members. IN addition to Marc, there is Pete Polatsidis and Dominic Sorrenso and Bob Gillig and Jeff Debur (among others) that offer considerable contribution to the ZR-1 community! Send me a PM and I'll see that your email gets on the mailing list for coming FBI events! Paul.
