Unbolt the FPR and its bracket and move it out of the way.

Feel for the 1/4 hex head bolt which holds the connector to the DIS module. Unscrew that bolt then unplug the harness.

You'll need a aerosol can of contact cleaner which has one of those plastic straws. Spray into the connector on the end of the harness. Then spray into the connector on the back of the DIS module.

Reconnect the harness and tighten the bolt.

Then, road test.

You know...
(sigh)
...I forgot to tell you to clear codes after you cleaned and reconnected the DIS connector. Sorry 'bout that.

When you changed the battery, you cleared codes when you disconnected it.

Hopefully, the 42 will not come back and you can chalk it up to loose/dirty connections.

Thanks for the help, made it as far as Seattle yesterday, hopefully the car keeps running good and the rain can stay away. Looking forward to driving down the coast highway.
