Re: Any Suggestions on This?
Well Done! You did a great job!
Now, please consider a trip to a solid ZR1 tuner. You have improved enough that you will need to have your chip re-tuned to the the most out of your car.

Anyway, do you think Ill need a reburn or another chip now because of the headers? I was wondering if the altitude here where I live at 5200' might necessitate the need for a reburn also... The car runs phenomenally well... good idle, very little hunting on decel, but.... once in a while I get some light backfiring... dont know if that can be addressed with the tune...

Nice job and glad you got it all sorted out. Yes, Marc will tune out the backfire. I have his ver. 4 chip for my car and will have to send to him once I install my headers.

Re: Any Suggestions on This?
I would think headers, exhaust and elevation would warrant a tune. Marc can turn the decel backfire on or off. I'm not sure if it's adjustable or not. I like a little backfire on decel, but of course that makes you a cop magnet even more than just driving a Vette.

It’s not the backfires that draws the cops to you... It’s the screeching tires and 2 long black strips you leave behind everywhere you go! 😋 |

Re: Any Suggestions on This?
Paul is right on both counts. If you attach the exhaust system directly to the frame without the springs you are transmitting not only sound but engine and drive train vibrations to the frame. I think you would feel it, and in addition to avoiding stress on all the joints on a hard bottoming as Paul said, I would think very aggressive acceleration might do some twisting as well. In any case you might try some tests with the springs attached and not to see if you can tell a difference.-Bob
