Has anyone used this?

Thanks, Paul
Yes, but you will also need an Android device that has ALDLdroid or ALDL Scan Software on it. I use ALDLDroid and it works well once you get it set up.

Thanks, I knew about the Android software. I think there's a Windows based software version also.

I'm being lazy, and my car is up on a lift, so I'll ask you guys in the know.....

Is the OBD1 connector 12 pin or 16 pin? 92 ZR-1.
Thanks

Gentlemen, w.r.t. the above mentioned aldl connector (1320 electronics) how does it compare to a tech 1? I'm using VCDS for my Audis and I know there a dramatic differences between the various OBD2 plugs you get on ebay + android software and a true VCDS.
Are the latest OBD1 tools as good (I mean in terms of functionality) as tech 1?

Moreover the shop seems to sold out for months. Are there any other alternatives? I'm not a diagnostis dummy but never worked with OBD1 before. So I have no experience which tools to use and what's compatible with a ZR-1.

My main purpose would be to get all engine readings to find out whether everything is in tune and working as desired.
Thanks

There is member on here who was selling a handy tester for our cars. Not Tech 1 level information but at least its easier than the paperclip method.

I believe you might be talking about Cliff (Dynomite).

I am. But I do not know if he is still producing them, so I figured I would let him chime in.

The 1 and 2 are normal. I remember the annoyance before I installed Haibeck chip that has programming to tone it down to near unnoticeable. The 3 is fun and do it often to keep everything carbon free!
