Re: Barrett Jackson Scottsdale
There were cars there getting stupid money,$240,000 for a hot rod 67 Nova? I like Novas just about as much as I like my Corvettes but the market for a $240,000 Nova just isn’t there. Seen this over the years where somebody pays big then sells it a few years later @ almost half of what was paid. Some good buys were there as well,$60,000 for a 78 Pacecar with no miles.

The red 90 ZR-1 went for $42,900 including fees but the 96 Grand sport convertible went for $62,700 incl fees. I don't get it, sure it´s a rare convertible but the Z is so much more special and significant. I guess some people just like flashy paint jobs.

Maybe if Burt Reynolds and Sally Field filmed a "Bandit" sequel in one, things would be different! Except for the L88 cars, it's BLING over ZING every time. Well.... I don't GAS what others are selling for. I've got mine and intend to keep it until I can't drive it no mo.

Saturday is a big money day for Barrett Jackson.....I think one of the members-Ccmano said in a previous post, these bidders are in a world of there own when it comes to bidding...Most I feel are retirees bidding on these high dollar cars......Houses paid off, kids out of college, hey, let me go buy a high dollar collectible..... Hard to gauge the market I feel when there are these kind of bidders... Very surprised to see that Grand sport fetch that kind of money.....On the other hand, good for a C4 generation to demand that money... Sent from my LG-TP260 using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |
