Forgive my blasphemy if that's the case, but is that a 1972 Satellite? I probably have the model wrong, but I do know that's a beautiful Penstar no matter what.....I was thinking that was a 383, but it's not a Hemi?

It's a 1971 Plymouth GTX; the last year for the GTX.
The 440 4 barrel was the small engine for GTX's.

Todays tires are a help.
My 1971 LS-6 has run 12.82 at 108 with tires
the one in the test has a 3.36 rear end and I have a 4:11 and M-22

the test LS-6 ran 13.72 it said....

so I assume all the "old cars" will move up a lot with tires.

I agree with you, modern tires will make the old muscle cars faster!

cool list but i don't know any stock ZR1 that runs 12.8 STOCK. Given I'm no professional driver but i can't imagine a professional running more than a few tenths bettter than my time. I ran 12.8 in my car but i have ported plenum, IH, full exhaust, KNN filter, I/H Coolant delete Heibeck chip and I believe thats it.

My relatively stock '93 ran 13.1 at 108. My '95 with Haibeck 510 package (about 490 HP due to certain mod omissions) ran 12.4/116. --Bob
