I just seen that they are paying to fix it. I would not eliminate them if that's the case. The previous owner of my 90 had all 4 replace when the young tire mechanic broke all of them. The tire company paid for all four at a cost of $250 each which was about 6 years ago. I agree that it is a nice option to have.

Does you rims have the warning labels on them?

This mechanic is stating that he did not brake it and I don't believe he wants to pay for it. He claims the batteries die in them and you can't change them.

Tell the mechanic to replace the battery. Lying out of his teeth to get out of trouble... These units are powered with piezoelectric effect.

yes i just spoke to Heibeck and he said they do not run on batteries so the mechanic had to break something guaranteed. Now i have a screw in my rear passenger tire, i have all new construction on my block and I may have a few words with the contruction workers on my block as well. So i am going to ask the mechanic to patch this othee tire for free, how do you pull the codes to verify it is in fact the same tire he replaced?

The guy damaged the case,lied about it now your having him work in the car again?
