It might be helpful to service the hydraulic clutch first. Replace the fluid in the reservoir, and bleed the clutch so that you have full release when shifting.
If the clutch isn't working fully, it could be the cause of your trans problems. |

Thanks for the info guys. I've got the tools and know which end of the screwdriver to hold and have worked on clutches and transmissions before, any tricks I should know about when pulling this transmission?

to slide the thing out onto a jack to avoid damaging things. I use 8in long bolts. Helps too when aligning it up to reinstall. Best practice is to also replace the pilot bearing while in there depending on if you know it was done since new.
