I would like to do Bob G's set up. I like the fact that I have no resonance with Corsa..
With the Z06 NPP valves, you get the low resonance of a Corsa w resonator but w 3" pipe. If you look at the stock Z06 exhaust, it has an X pipe but no resonator. Not needed. So weight savings and less restrictions. Pretty quiet at cruise. But then it opens at WOT.
My setup has no resonator, just SW XPipe, DynoMax UltraFlo, 3" pipe w Watson headers.

Yeah but the cost to get there is holding me back right now..

That I forget the name of the place Bob got his X pipe from

But the cost of the Corsa didn't hold u back?? Besides, wouldn't u be selling the Corsa? So net net...

Bob's Xpipe has a box to it unlike others that are conjoined pipes.

You are right.. the Corsa cost me less then $500 complete

to do the Bi modal 3" I would need:

Z06 mufflers for the valve and tips $300 (just a guess seen them selling for much more but not less)

Dynomax muffler 3" inlet dual 2.5" out $220 (for the pair last time I checked)

Bob G's X pipe $300?? (If I can remember where he got it I can call for price, I asked Bob Sunday and he could not remember the name of the place)

all the rest of the 3" piping with Mandrel bends to complete the exhaust $???

Installation and fabrication $???? (or find a used B&B system for the bent pipes)

I am probably over $1000 for a custom set-up that I might or might not like, Bob's car sounds awesome outside, but I have not ridden in it..

So until we find a source for the valves or where you can buy them with tips and no mufflers for less.. I am in no rush to change

Jeff,

We all know you are very deliberate when u buy something and in working out swaps. But on an apples to apples compare regarding cost of systems, the Z06 system is pretty cost effective and with no resonator, probably more weight savings too. That was the point of my post.

yes..

If I had enough pieces to put it together the I would try it.. I just don't..

I am not knocking the system, I like the design and idea behind it.. someday I will change again. I just wish that company would respond to the request I sent
