I will be there hopefuly with my new 33 Spline spindles, and may be these
wont break.I would really like to break A 1.7 or 1.6 short time that would give
me about .5 second on the big end.

Showing my ignorance again (and I've plenty of that!), what are the details of the 33 spline option, vs. the stock option, Al? What's all involved with making the switch?

My mods prior to "the event" is opening the TB to 63mm and installing the Dynamax muffs...OR, maybe having you put flanges on my Magnaflows so I can pop them off for racing, like Marc does. I would hope the combination would bump me from 432 at the wheels to 440 +

Oh...this is going to be fun. I hope we can get a buncha ZR-1s at this event. I know they're gunnin' for us (well, you "big boys" for sure), and some more good natured "boooos" if we were to take the tropy back for another year...would be frickin mooozic to my ears as well as the rest of Z gang!

The Stock AXles are 27 Spline and The place where they break is at the shoulder of the axle.Mine are custom made Axles made of 4340 billet material. It will cost about $1200 for the axles alone.bearings figure another $400 you would be looking 2K with the labor.

Yeeeeeaaaahhhh RIGHT!

I find these DOHC, 4-valve V8s to be simply facinating - in terms of their performance compared to pushrod motors, especially!! When ya see these little 5.7s (Pete's car especially) eating up bigger LSx motored Vettes it makes us realize just what a special creation the LT5 was. (After last year, I suspect that realization has spread among some of the LSx boys by now as well.

To hear Marc's car and Pete's 5.7s launch and run screaming past bigger motors gives me thrills! And, then there's the big inch FBI boys... When they leave the line...those cars are just RUDE! It is hard to imagine Kevin, and Al and Bob's cars are street driven N/A motors with stocker manners in traffic. Simply amazing pieces of automotive engineering, to be sure. Can't wait!

Paul,

Shouldn't we have some kind of a sign-up for this?
Who's coming, who's watching, and who's running.
