You can also send it to Marc Haibeck, the ZR-1 Specialist and it costs $25 to repair. I have the same problem and if I can't figure it out I'll send mine to Marc.

Had same thing happen on my 90'... I did not want to monkey with repairing myself so I just sent to Marc H and got it back 100%

I had same problem. The contacts bend from switching it on and off.
Bob S. is right easy fix to repair the switch. ![]()

Mine is fixed. I took it apart and adjusted the contacts. Easy fix in a 1990 model. Thanks for the thread that directed me that direction.

Glad you got it fixed. Honestly, getting the switch out is the hardest part, there's always a chance of snapping some piece of plastic trim.
