Wow man... If you're gonna badmouth the product that is the sole subject of this thread, can you at least expound upon your testing criteria?

What are you using to say one setup's performance is "better" than another? And what type of activities are you engaging in with your car that would be taking either setup to their limits? Do you road race it? Or do stuff like 1/4 mile, standing mile or longer acceleration, to where you brake from high speeds?

You are straight-up saying there is no performance increase from a MovIt setup over your Baer setup, in spite of the higher cost. I think some level of detail is warranted, as that's quite a claim.

Hey Tom, thank you for that information. The picture you posted certainly shows a thick rotor, but I didn't realize they had to be that thick.

And the notion of taking them with you car to car certainly makes sense.

I honestly did not want to turn this into any type of advertisement because we do not sell enough MovIt systems to ZR-1 owners to warrant being a vendor on the forum. I am a 1990 ZR-1 owner and love this community, love the friends I have built here, and love this forum that I am personally addicted to.

In short I will say this and I tell my perspective clients this all the time. The MovIt system is like a high performance car. It is like comparing a Ford to a Roll Royce. They both do the job of transporting people from one place to another. The MovIt's are the Roll Royce of brakes. We just do it better, we use higher quality parts, engineer and manufacture each piece per the required order, ect, ect. I can point out all the differences in the systems piece by piece. But as I stated, this is not an advertisement.

Lastly, the kit pictured only cost so much money because of all the additional work that went into it from the beginning. The same kit painted instead of anodized is $7,750. In the end this kit ending up costing this client well over $15K because he bought 2 sets of rear calipers.

I find it ironic that you always need a dissertation.

I have had wilwood 6 piston setup and 6 piston Baer current setup on my zr-1. I also had 6 piston setup on my c5s. I've done 1/4 mile and road racing on my setups and I've driven other 6 piston setups.

I am not bad mouthing the movit setup- it's quality.

I also spoke with several professional drivers, as I'm often attending races all over the country and have some as personal friends.

If you want to buy into the whole "rolls royce" for your chevy then so be it.

When you lay out 5-15,000 for brakes I'm sure you will do your own research.

I did my extensive research and made my decision.

I did buy a set... Rather several sets. That why I bought the distributorship in North America. Here they are on my Chevy...

I am not bad mouthing the movit setup- it's quality. However, you will lose your emergency brake and will have 2 calipers on your rear.
If you like that then great, I don't care for it.

On a side note to the OP, saying the Baer 6S is a Ford and the Movits are a "Rolls Royce" is comical.

People speak with their wallets. If they feel a product is worth the extra $$ they spend it. Many people across all the high end forums say the same thing, too expensive, overpriced etc.

You get what you pay for. Sometimes you overpay.

Make your own educated decision. I can't tell you how much time I had in my research, but it was extensive. IE - I have had different 6 piston setups on my ZR-1 for 8 years. I've had coleman rotors, a bunch of others and now Eradispeed 2 piece rotors.

There are no requirements to be a "vendor" here as far as I know. Your post didn't come across as a sales pitch, rather some nice pictures of products you've made. I thought they were cool to see.

Also, nice Impala. Do you drive it hard? I'd guess so from the tire wear on the sway bar, plus of course the big brakes. If so, that's awesome. I don't know why, but I really like full size cars that can haul.
