Re: Anyone else here an shooter/collecto
Thanks, but the M14 doesn't use enblocks like the M1, rather a 20rnd magazine. Nice armory!

Re: Anyone else here an shooter/collecto
Yup, I'm a Gun Guy.
I've had my 03 FFL (Collector) for over 20 years. I have a Gun Room with a gunsafe entrance door. My collection has done far better than any of my funds, investments or other stock market adventures. Had an 01 FFL (Dealer) until Clinton decided it was evil if you worked out of your kitchen. In the past I've held Master or Expert ratings in various shooting sports such as Service Rifle/USPSA/IDPA. Never ran with the Super Squads, but have shot at several national matches. Been on the firing line at Camp Perry, will go to my grave pissed that I just missed making the "President's One Hundred." Won a couple of state titles in military rifle, but that was a decade or more ago and before I got my over 40 eyesight. As a young 1LT I won my post's handgun championship (back when we did such things) and got a nice invite to tryout for the Army Marksmanship Unit. Would have lost my jump & flight pay so I declined (had a note on a 79 Vette to pay). Not as quick as I once was so I don't worry too much about winning matches anymore, just shoot for the enjoyment of it. Currently doing some 3-Gun and shoot "Heavy Metal" (FAL, 1911, 870). Uncle Sam sent me to several High-Speed Low Drag Shooting Schools long before we called folks "Operators." I've spent range time with Jeff Cooper, but was too young at the time to understand how special that was. Wish I had a picture. Wouldn't mind getting into SASS to shoot my Colt single actions..., but I ain't going to dress-up in some make-believe cowboy outfit. I consider a golf course a fine waste of a rifle range. Oddly enough I don't reload. I do a little gunsmithing on the side, and to make this ZR-1 related - You should feel how slick my Hurst shifter is!

Re: Anyone else here an shooter/collecto
I used to shoot IPSC before I moved to Canada (and they banned ALL guns in England). Shot several times at Bisley and competed internationally. I was actually awarded a "Best Combat Revolver" prize at the European championships at one time. My dad polluted my brain by taking me to see the Dirty Harry movies and I fell in love with the model 29 .44 magnum and shot that.
I could get back in to it now I am in Canada, but I guess I'm pre-occupied with "The Dragon"
