Doesn't the OE dual mass usually sell for something closer to $750?

How likely is it that a 20 year old OE flywheel will fail in a car that is low mileage today and will average 3-5K miles per year going forward?

If I don't care for the aftermarket Fidanza flywheel, is this something that I am likely to need and should therefore have as a spare?

You can find deals on them but normally they are more like $1000+. Kurt's is a good price.

Depends on how many miles on your car and whether you ever have to replace a clutch. The flywheel shouldn't be more than .015 difference between inside and outside to reuse.

They can be turned, if you can find a machine shop that can do it. Ask around your town before spending the money.

Good Luck whatever you decide.

It is a decent price...was thinking that when Kurt posted. I'd consider it but I have one as a spare already...
