guilty as charged
i am sorry guys, but i am guilty here... as i actually drive my car..
i go out to a show each friday night here in dayton (across from the greene shopping center) to show the Z.. i always park next to my buddy's 06 Viper.. anyways, the first question out of other Vette owners' mouths is always "how many miles do you have on her?" geof: umm, close to 75K them: *picking themselves up off the pavement* how can you do that to a car like this? geof: it's easy, i love to drive it them: but it's so clean geof: yeah, i take care of my cars... i really enjoy owning it.. i think everyone should see a ZR-1 in person - and besides, it's just so much fun to drive them: well, i have an 04 (for example) with 1000 miles on it.. i just enjoy looking at it and taking it to cruise-ins... you are supposed to do that with a car like this geof: *thinking to himself* poor car... hmm, 1 of 30000 made, huh? so guys and gals, i am sorry...i do drive it.. wait - hell no i'm not sorry... i love driving this thing!!

Re: guilty as charged
I was at Culver's last night with my daugher getting something to eat, there was a couple with 2 kids sitting at an outside table. One of the kids, about 4 years old, was standing on the curb. I started up the car and the little kid says to his dad....."Dad I think thats a race car." As the parking lot is on a downward slope, I rev it up alittle to back out. The little kid turns to his dad this time almost yelling...."Dad, thats definately a race car"
See even those who don't know, know the Z is something special!

Re: guilty as charged
Okay, truth time for me too.
Hi my name is Tom, aka tomtom72. I own a C4 1990 ZR-1............ and I'm a I-drive-my-ZR-1-aholic! Yes, it's been driven thru rain.....I even like to do that 'cause I have GS-D3's! Yes, it's a real ZR-1 and I drive it as much as I can, it's fun and very satisfying! Yes, I go to show & shines. Yes, I know she has road rash. I put it there. I drive her, but I enter charity shows anyway. I even won a trophy in the C4 class at the last charity show I took her to. I would rather be driving her than sitting in a chair at a show...for very long anyway. I do not want to cure my ZR-1 driving addiction. I'm sorry, well, not really.

Re: guilty as charged
I'd like to chime in, but I'm too busy finishing up my "winter" mods...so she'll go mo bettah at the strip (and sound good too!).
BTW, the amount of junk stripped outta her is starting to pile up! (Secondaries - good riddance!), the A.I.R system (better keep that in case I change states or something), razor sharp #@!##$* heat shields, factory exhaust manifolds and cats, the Borla cat-back...U get the picture! As someone (here?) once said: "Some are waxers, and some just wipe the blood off!" I guess I be more like the latter! P.

Re: guilty as charged
Bought "The Beast" in the fall of '06 with just 7,500 miles on the odo. It is up over 15,000 now and has seen both rain and snow (same day while in the Rockies). It doesn't get driven as much as I like it to but it sure does draw attention at the Thursday night cruise-in.

Re: guilty as charged
Let see am I addicted to driving the Z?
1. Always looking for an excuse to drive it? Yes. 2. Do I need a navigation system? No because I do not care if I get lost while driving. 3. Gas to fill it up is going up again. I do not care filler up? Oh yea! 4. Do loud sounds bother me? Nope love the sound of the beast at full throttle and I will still wave as I go by. Diagnoses: Addicated! Yep! See you on the road, Plus I still keep her clean and waxed. It is easier to get the bugs off.
