Re: Porting is done...FINALLY!
that is true, even on the strokers. the throttle body isn't the bottleneck. I do however want to try porting the tiney little primary throttle blade I do alot of part throttle driving, and I think it starves the engine for air until the secondary on the throttle opens up. this is especially true for me as I don't have any secondary plates in the heads anymore probably should modify the linkage and just snap the big blades open off the get go!! any thoughts on that??

That stroker crank must have fallen off the shelf and hit you on the head, you should just send it to me before you really hurt yourself.

hi jim, I'm talking about the tiny "primary port" in the throttle body. nobody ever seems to port that. but with the bigger displacement (390), and part throttle, it might help the engine breath better at part throttle openings with just a bit bigger port/plate when you look at that tiny little port it just doesn't look right! I've seen EHS modify the secondaries to blend them into one BIG oval shape blade (1 instead of 2) to really open up the flow but yea, it's probably not worth the effort and cost to do the primary throttle port.
