Default Finally arrived.

I thought I was going to be a senior citizen by the time this disc arrived.
So tomarrow I'll get the fluted pilot bushing and get longer grade 8 a bolts from Fastenal. Then start putting Humpty Dumty back together again.

I must admit the duel mass flywheel is a fantastic well engineered piece of equipment and has served me well. It was quiet. Always made the car idle super smooth. I still don't understand how you could get a nickel to stand up on it's side on any surface. But I digress.

But out with the old. In with the new.

This Fidanza weighs no more than my 17" laptop.

And the Center Force sprung hub disk. $325 for the Fidanza. And $198 for the Center Force disc. We'll see how it goes.

Yup. I know all about it. Not enough gas from a stand still and the car dies. To much and you light em up. I'm sure it's gonna take some getting us to.

Rick, You haven't mentioned the pressure plate, which brand did you use and the price? Thought one had to have a "matched set" (pressure plate and disc) is that no longer true?

Thanks,
Jerry

I'm using the old clutch/preasure plate. It only has 8,000 miles on it. I wanted to go with a spec stage two clutch. But they are about $500. I don't feel like having $1,000 bucks wrapped up in a clutch/flywheel/clutch disc. If I were running 500+rwhp then I would. But I'll be running around 400rwhp when I'm done with the same mods most of the guys on here have already done.
P.S I also went with a stronger throw out bearing.

Sure! First I've got to get the fluted pilot bushing before I can start bolting stuff up. The dealerships in town won't get it for me until I pay the whopping $4.00. Only then will they locate it and send a driver to pick it up same day. Which means I've got to take off work early cuz they all close at 5:00pm. P.S Ryan since your off the next few days you should come on down and check out the shop. It's only a few miles from you on Persimon right off 2920 behind BJ services.
