Welcome in! I'm pretty recent here too, bought my 93 in September.
Forums in general aren't what they used to be, a lot of the stuff moved to Facebook or elsewhere, but I find even if you get more engagement, the actual quality of information is still better in these Registry forums.
CorvetteForum is pretty active as well, and a good source for general C4 info.

I have owned about 10 BMWs over the years and currently my wife and I have two, a 2014 328xi (hers) and a 2019 540xi (mine). I even sold BMWs for seven years in my "Early Retirement" period. They are great but they are very different experiences compared to a C4 ZR-1 (or a C7 Z06!). I had a '95, VIN 409. What are the last three digits of your VIN? And I might suggest that after to get to know it a bit that you schedule a visit to Marc and Bob Haibeck's shop in Addison IL. Marc is the acknowledged worldwide expert on C4 ZR-1s and a good, helpful guy to boot. When I bought my '95 in 2012 it went right to Marc for a thorough servicing and examination. He found and corrected a number of things that I wouldn't have even thought to ask about, and it ran like a champ when I got it back. Also did a few upgrades while there, like a short shifter, a 4.10 rear and a Corsa exhaust. Then shortly after I fell deeply in with his 350/510 HP package. (He now does a 378/550 HP package, currently his most popular). Owning a ZR-1 is quite addictive I am afraid. Good luck! And if you can, join the ZR1Net Registry and come to the annual Gathering in Bowling Green KY this May 14-18 and meet lots of crazy guys like me. --Bob

I had a 93 850ci - 5 litre V12. I think 290 hp, if I remeber correct. Beautiful car but weighed I think around 4,200 lbs. I missed my 91 Z so much I sold the BMW in 2000 and found my 94 Z with 30,000 miles in Birmingham, Alabama. After 25 years and 150,000 miles later, I still enjoy my Z.

Russ' quote says it all!

Welcome to the group and enjoy that ZR-1!

Don't be shy if you have questions. You will find the group has faced nearly every imaginable, and some unimaginable concerns over the 35 years that this magnificent car has been around.

Exercise those secondaries!
