Question Replacement Fuel Injectors

92 ZR1 Fuel Injector troubleshot to "no Fire" for number 3 cylinder. I would like to keep as much as possible in original condition. So my options are to have fuel injectors rebuilt, replace them with original if I could find or replace them with a recommended fuel injector that others on the net have used in their ZR1s. The ZR1 has just under 30,000 original miles.
Thanks, Ellis

My personal opinion about your options;

Rebuilt Injectors: not recommended

Replace with original injectors: Definitely not recommended, If you could find new original injectors for your 1992, they are not ethanol tolerant. Ethanol blended fuel is likely the cause of the injector failure you are experiencing now.

Recommended fuel injectors: Recommend FIC Injectors. Appearance is very close to the originals. excellent injector. https://www.jerrysgaskets.com/fuel-i...16-90-95-13b2/

You can also use the ACCELL 150821. Some of my customer cars have them installed. Never had any issues.

Sam,

Many of us have used the Accels as replacements. I recently replaced a set after 10years and now run FICs.

Except: OP states

Accel injectors are bright yellow and look nothing like the original injectors.

FIC injectors look very similar to original injectors.

Really?

Attached pic shows above a ACCEL 150821 Injector and at the bottom a FIC.

My Accels have been in for over 15 years and still going strong.
Its really really hard to see more than a glimpse of the injectors between the runners of the plenum.
Unless you're a NCRS kind of guy, no one would ever know what flavor of injectors are installed.

The problem with my Accels, after 10 years, is that the aerator at the tip wore thru. Rather than atomizing the fuel, the injector was just ?pissing? it into the cylinder, causing a lean misfire I was not aware of. Until we discovered a compression ring broken in 4 places. Others were displaying poor spray patterns.
