CAM COVERS WASHERS
I received my cam covers and other engine parts from marc haibeck and the sealing washers from jerry's gaskets for the m8 bolts. what i have not been able to locate are the sealing washers for the (6) m6 bolts in the front of the cam covers. what is everyone doing for these m6 bolts to get a good seal? and are you using a thread sealer or a thread locker for all the fasteners in the cam covers.

Call me crazy, but I didn?t think those M6 bolts had dowty washers from the factory. Regardless I would definitely make sure you use a good anti seize on those. I?ve broken a few on disassembly. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: CAM COVERS WASHERS
thank you for the link, i had seen that in my earlier searches. only problem is that they do not show a sealing washer for the m6 size bolt.

Re: CAM COVERS WASHERS
The M6 bolts at the front of the Cam Cover, do not use seals, none are needed at that location.
Use medium strength (blue) thread locker compound. Loctite is 242 or 243.

There?s no oil there if the anaerobic sealer on the cover is working. You will be fine. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: CAM COVERS WASHERS
i pushed all reservations aside and got one side on today. now that i got one done, it's ' a piece of cake '. i've never worked on one of these engines so i tend to be over cautious so i don't screw anything up. i can get the other side on tomorrow and then i can drop the engine back into the car and then start on a new exhaust back to the mufflers.

Re: CAM COVERS WASHERS
with everyone's recommendations, i got the cam covers on, torqued down and cleaned up. then i wanted to see what the engine looks like with all the pretty pieces from mark haibeck so i unwrapped everything except the t-body and extension housing and fitted them together. here is what they look like.
