Default Rear emblem on our cars ??

Hello All,

My rear "Corvette" emblem on my 91 has a few marks in it and I'd like to order a replacement emblem. From the looks of it, the emblem the ZR1 uses is the 90 style through to 95... correct?

91-95 standard Vettes didn't have a emblem but rather the logo engraved into the cover.

So, I want to order the proper replacement emblem. Will that be the standard emblem for the Vette 90 and earlier??? or is the ZR1 emblem different in size or ZR1 specific?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Joe

The CORVETTE emblem on the rear of a 91 ZR-1 is larger than the standard C4.

Thank you. My car is in storage and I can’t get to it to measure.

When I had my bumper painted they were not able to obtain a new one. Luckily it came off without breaking.

Hmmm.... Sounds like a project for CARTER or someone with a laser printer to look into...(hint, hint!). Trouble is, the volume wouldn't support a lot of business, no? Tha'd make tooling up prohibitive except for someone looking for a project to learn (laser printing) on (thinking out loud...er...typing out loud, I mean.).

I believe the 90 emblem is the same for all 84-90 while the 91-95 emblem is ZR-1 specific. I’ve thought about making one if I need it,I’ve never seen a white 91-95 anywhere for sale. Wouldn’t be hard, would have to make 2 pieces, the background black and the body color piece.

I believe you are correct, that the "Corvette" on the 1990 ZR-1 was the same as that of the "84-'90 standard car. Then it was enlarged for the '91-'95 ZR-1. I read that somewhere, but I can't remember just where right now.

U R Correct...or at least I can verify by tape measure the change between the 90 and 91s (sitting in my garage). The width of the CORVETTE lettering on the 90 is ~ 12+ inches long, whereas the CORVETTE on the 91 is 15.5" long with a proportional increase in letter height.
