When I had the V2V bars installed, they did it as it was the very first set and they wanted to document everything. Anyway, when I left I had the roof on and I immediately noticed a difference.. worth it..

I remember when this system was designed and the prototype was laying on the field in Carlisle. It works. The c4 has a natural "hinge point" where the frame bends in and wasn't designed for the targa roof.
Reference Dave M. "Inside the corvette" I'd use them both. the targa bars are a bit stiffer than the roof panel and work great. The Vette 2 Vette system adds tortional stiffness The up front camber connect bar works pretty well. The later vettes were a huge bump in chassis stiffness. The c4 could use a bit of help so you don't have a rag doll. if you don't mind the hassle, a good 4 point with up front kick out removables for the front (6 pt cage) is really what "fixes" this problem properly.
