Karl you actually filmed this a LS1 Corvette w/cam, etc, pulled me off the line by a few car lengths and then I passed him at the end 12.1 @121.25

Yes I remember. I am looking forward to another trip to US41.

Odds are a 500hp Z would have outrun the LS in the video.

At the last 1/2 mile WANNAGOFAST event in Monee, IL I lined up with a yellow C5 with "VENGEANCE RACING" blazed across the sides.. I don't know the specifics, but assuming it was an LS1(??), it blew me out by at least 4 car lengths, from a dig.

Mine is a ~ 510+hp with stock cams and stock rear end. The C5 had a radical cam and open exhaust and arrived on a trailer for the event; hardly a streetable car, is my point.

No regrets! Just too bad Pete wasn't there with his nasty Green Machine, or the outcome would have been different, I suspect. (And, Pete would have arrived and driven home too...in traffic...no problem.)

Seems like the perfect moment for a 125hp shot of n2o.

If things were only as easy as they are in the movies!
