Need Seat Switch Advise
This is pretty elementary, but I learned long ago it is better to ask than pay the price later!!
I have the passenger seat out of my car. It started as allowing more room to remove the DCM and has progressed into several other projects as I am prone to do. (Repair lumbar pump, replace bladder, clean & lube everything, etc.) I noticed when cleaning & treating the seat bottom leather that there was a small crack in the seat back/seat bolster adjustment switch bezel. Can't have that, so I have ordered a new one. In preparation and expectation of receiving the new bezel, I decided to remove the cracked one. This is where my question comes. I don't think I am sure of the correct procedure on removing the switches from the bezel and installing the new one. Checked the FSM, no help. Searched the "sticky's" and didn't find anything there either. Any and all help will be appreciated. Here's a couple of pics of the switches. z082018-4.jpg z082018-5.jpg

Following, as one of mine has a small crack in it too...and well we just can't have that!
Where did you get yours from, if you don't mind me asking?

The subject of "can condoms" (cup holder liner) came up a while back. I did not have one so I HAD to get one in place. I'm sleeping better now. To address your question, and I apologise for the diversion, I found the bezel at Zip Corvette. I have had "OK" experiences with them. These bezels are year specific, but if yours is a '90 the SKU# is 1-1336. Just 9 bucks. I ordered some more probably un-needed items to justify the 15 for shipping. Hope some of the more knowledgeable than me chime in on this so I don't break something!

Re: Need Seat Switch Advise
As you discovered it is very hard to press the tabs to get a switch out of the bezel. It's important not to damage the switches because they are very hard to find. Wait until you receive the replacement bezel and verify that it is the correct part. Then carefully cut the old bezel to release the switch.

I had considered doing that, but wanted to make sure I was not missing something. For installing new bezel, do the wires dis-connect from the switches or will they work in without doing that? You guys are great!! Thanks for the help.

The connectors fit through the holes in the bezel. There is no problem fitting them in with the wires. Double check that you have the orientation of the switches correct before clicking them in place!
