display shows no data
Well i was going to take the car for a ride this morning but when i started
the car the display showed no data. Now the car started and ran fine, at one time the display showed all correct data. The next time all i get is a blank display , i cannot display any codes. After checking the service manual i see that the CCM will show code 31 no display or data. They say remove cluster and check for B+ short to gr. It could be the CCM causing the tbl. So should i pull instrument panel first and go from there. Checked ECM no tbl codes. Either way i'll have to pull something out. Thanks John 1990 #2546 white/black one of a few auto (4l80E ) eq. Re: display shows no data
If it’s just the LCD display, gauges are working, Check with these guys, the instrument cluster is known to have issues.

Re: display shows no data
I have used there services when my LCD had fuzzy, light display. changed the
orange/yellow film . What i have is all the numbers were lit up and then none. i will pull the display and check step one for code 31 in the CCM diag.I will check the contacts to instrument display . Batee told me that i could have dirty connections to the display. I will let you know what i fine. Thanks John 1990 #2546 white/black one of a few auto (4l80E) eq. ZR-1's |

Re: display shows no data
Update
Removed instrument display and cleaned the contacts on the LCD contacts with a rubber eraser. Reinstall and display is operating as they should. Well as long as steering wheel is down i'll do the the fog light up grade to work with the new LED headlights. Thanks John 1990 white/black #2546 one of a few (4L8OE) eq ZR-1's . |
