http://www.gq.com/story/80s-and-90s-ugly-sports-cars
"The BMW M3 is a cult car. It has a very strong following. That’s the one particular car that even younger people are really into. Like if I were to drive up in a ’60s Ferrari, and there was an E30 M3 parked next to me, a lot of guys in their teens and early 20s would be more excited to see the E30 M3, because to them it’s just the coolest thing. So that car has a lot of crossover"

The overhangs are HUGE! There must be 6 ft in front of the centerline of the front wheel

Buddy do what you like. Resale is going to suck so just make it the way you like it. Life is too short and then we die. Enjoy your ride and forget about it. Some people luck out and for some reason make money on there fun time sports cars. Some dont. I still dont know how somebody can buy a bmw anything. Ugly square slow boxes...over priced...stiff riding...upright uncomfortable turds. There are lots of people who just go with the crowd so its cool to be a yuppie and be a fan of the beemers, the cubbies,, anything that is socially acceptable and is chic for the time. There is nothing more exhilarating than to beat up on a beemer or any german car. Enjoy your car and make it your own. If I felt this strong about my zr1 I would not have sold it. I sold it because of lack of mechanics in my state so I did not want to be retired and dealing with shipping the car all over the place. Good luck with your ride and enjoy it.

I wouldn't own a Countach for half price either. Most over-rated supercar ever. Its got a great motor and a pretty body. Everything else sucks. Terrible to try to drive if you can manage to get in. Pre-90's BMW's on the other hand may be boxes, but they are great drives. I have an early M3 that has become the cult favorite and it is genuinely fast and feels good like very little else. I wouldn't own a new BMW if you gave it to me.

I had an 850 6 speed as DD for 10+ years. Absolutely beautiful, great cars. I see you have one of the very few CSI's. That's a keeper for sure!
