Not ZR-1 related, but interesting Corvette video...
I thought this may be of interest to the forum. It's a video of the development of the 63 Vette. Although I have seen different clips of this video, I have never seen the full one as posted in the link below. Then again, some of you may have already seen this at one time or another.
To the mods, feel free to move to whatever section you feel it should be in. I posted here to bring it to everyones attention to enjoy when everyone has the time. A great video, Tom. Always fun to see these windows into the past, especially when they relate to Corvettes. My very first Corvette ride was in a silver/black 1963 convertible much like the one in the video and I have been hooked ever since.--Bob

My older brother had a 65 Fuel Injected Coupe ordered, but Dad kind of stopped that order, considering the driver my brother was at the time. He ended up getting a 62 Pontiac Bonneville convertible with a 389. That was also one fast car. He go through tires and brakes every 10,000 miles....lol

During the Summer and Fall of 76, my wife and I looked at 14 63-67 Coupes at the time. Every weekend we checked out a different one or two. They were plentiful in the Metro Philly area. We ended up with a 67 Coupe 327/400 horse which was worked and had angle plug heads, quick machine.... But the one that got away was a 63 Split Z06 with the 36 gal fuel tank of course and 4.11 gears. The reason being it was going to be my "dd" and I was concerned about the low gears for the work commute. And where would we put our daughter behind the seats, no room!!! (yes I know the seatbelt factor) It was located right over the bridge in NJ, White w/Red interior and we could have bought it for $3600. Go figure....lol....lol The 67 had chambered sidepipes and was extremely loud, race car loud...lol By the time I got to work I had a headache and the same when I got home. I put the sidepipes up for sale in some of the local papers and they sold in 2 days. Ordered the off road factory dual exhaust (N36 I think, cant remember the factory code) and what a difference, yes those were the days!!! Great memories!!! Another one that got away was a 66 427/425 Coupe....what was I thinking???
