I'd like to have a D44HD 3.07 and thought I'd start the search here. This is for a project and I guess $$$'s are very dependent upon what's available and the condition if known.
#'s from the ring gear, the pinion and the case would be very helpful. Since there are no "notifications" any longer I'd appreciate an email. There should be one available for me. I don't get here near as often as I used to so PM's? I'll try to get back daily to check Notifications if they worked would be swell - Oh well! Thanks -Dave |

Dave
I have a Dana 44 but it has 4.10s in it. Approximately 500 miles on it when it was removed and inspected. I also run 307 gears in mine as a daily driver and find it works just fine for the kind of driving I like to do. ![]() What are you putting 3.07s in?

That combo should work out just fine. It might get about 25 mpg with the cruise set at 100 mph!

Well I've not been able to do an "assembled" differential but I have an NOS housing, the correct case (new) but wanted to do this maybe less expensively for the fellow.
Anyone with a used housing? A used that had previous issues at the c-beam pass-through for attachment might do well here. I don't know how this is bolted into the project but I'm sure there's no c-beam. I've used a few with issues in the past for resto-builds and all was well. If you've any sort of D44 housing drop me an email. |
