Re: 1990 Red ZR-1
Hi KF,
Glad to see you post a pix or three of your KOTH. I guess since you solved some early problems (door switch - fuel pump hose clamps - no start (you never finished that thread)) you now have time to do the fun stuff like drive your ZR-1, go to car shows and post photos in this section of your new "pride and joy". Welcome to the brotherhood. You are lucky to live close to Richard Till since he has many years working on his Z and is great member on the site as well. I know Richard well since we both are "boat guys" and email and PM often to each other.

Re: 1990 Red ZR-1
Haven't solved the no start yet. Last time I messed with it, the battery was down some and after charging it fired up. I have to wait until the weather is better and it messes up again. When it started doing it, it was worse in hot weather. Might not do it until summer, who knows. I do like driving it, but rain and snow flurries predicted for this weekend. Northern Alabama. Fun stuff. Usually our snow is ice. ZR-1 + Ice = ZR-None

Re: 1990 Red ZR-1
Ah haaa - I see the No start is still in progress hence the still open thread.
Yes in Chicago we put da Z in 6 month hibernation. I do start it every month for good measure and tap the brakes and daydream about the other 6 months both past and future as da Z warms up to temp. Chicagoland SALT = Rusted Frame on da Z.

Had it running and starting well. Now it’s acting up again. Wasn’t the starter. Maybe that’s the problem this time. It is fun when it runs. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: 1990 Red ZR-1
Buy a trickle charger for it. Use it all the time on mine and it fires right up quickly. I just need to tank up on some Winter fuel for the upcoming season in NC.
