Default NCM Sinkhole restoration story

In case you haven't seen it, here is a link to a story about the 1,000,000th Corvette that went in the sinkhole at the NCM.

Nice write-up.

Jim

Thanks for sharing, Jim; I hadn't yet seen it. Great to see this and the Blue Devil restored. It's still hard to look at the others that won't meet with the same end.

Here is an article as well that speaks to the restoration of the assembly workers signatures behind the bodywork

I got in touch with someone at the NCM and asked about the ZR-1 Spyder and was told it won't be restored. I do think it's in bad taste to keep these cars on display as is but if this draws in the people, whatever. I just don't want to think of this car as a sideshow freak. I was told that there is a possibility the car will be reproduced. I really would like to see the car removed from the display though.

This entire dramatic sink hole deal is unreal. I live in ground zero sink hole-Florida and I've never seen one sink hole. I smell something shady going on. I mean seriously, of all the land that could cave in in Kentucky and the lord chose the area under the National Corvette Museum! Makes zero sense!
