The crank is stock. The car on the video even run with stock pistons and stock cams. After the race season some pistons were broken.

60-2 teeht. The researches and experiences we do with this project and the new parts (single trottles, injector housings etc.) are interesting and can open doors to build stronger performing big cubic LT5's. Right now I work on a 433cui LT5 and consider to overtake the new designed and machined single trottles and steel cams with a unusual duration and lift.

Sam,

Not to take this thread too far afield, but I have wondered how much of an impediment the LT-5 ignition is to making more power. I was able to run my motor using individual LSx coils, albeit for 30-45sec. but the idle was noticeably smoother.
