I had the pleasure of riding with Joe in his new CR-1 today. It is immaculate. Surprisingly enough, it is not a window breaker at low RPM... I felt like we were riding in a brand new ZR-1 - it was tight; the paint is perfect! Having never been in a CR-1 before, I was surprised how wide the sill is on the Aerobody.

I'm all about the history of these cars - I couldn't stop thinking about how Phil felt when he drove it, and wondering about how it came to be a CR-1, as well as the decision to take Callaway's LT-5 to the next level with LPE's 415ci package. It is a fantastic CR-1 (ZR-1)!

...and its found a great home with Joe!

Joe,what year is your CR-1? The reason I ask is that back around 2000,I rode in George Bryce's Red CR-1 w/LPE 415" at the first SGC gathering. IIRC,George's car started out as a 1990 model ZR-1.

it is a 91/The registration shows Phil had it in 2004/not sure if he owned it before then or not/only a few miles put on it since/but I hear Phil did them 1/4 mile at a time/If anyone knows any more about the history I would like to know/can p.m. or//and yes Mark and I were talking about having it at Bowling Green,as Phil tribute in May/My brother is going to bring my steel blue car,and take it home to Washington/we should get a large group this year David
