Dec. 6 Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona and Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce Present 2nd Annual Show and Shine

Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona and the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce Present the 2nd Annual Show and Shine for Shelter Car and Motorcycle Show. The show, held at the AJ Chamber building (567 W. Apache Trail), starts at 10 AM and ends at 2 PM on March 22nd. Gates will open at 9 AM, and trophies will be handed out starting at 1 PM. Judging is by people's choice with three categories: Antique Cars (pre-1950); Classic cars (1950-1980); Custom cars (any year); Antique motorcycles (pre-1960); Classic motorcycles (1961-1986); Custom motorcycles (any year). Trophies given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Registration is $20 before Nov. 15th; $25 after that and at the door and includes a dash plaque and one t-shirt for each vehicle. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for a $10 donation. There will be live music, plenty of food, and some great cars and motorcycles, so come and join us!

Car Show, Over 20 Award Classes , Raffle Prizes, T-Shirts, Dash Plaques, Community Walk, Family Activities, Sponsors.
Our event is broken down into three segments, a Community Walk, Car Show, and a Community Outreach Event. The Community Walk consists of a 1-3 mile course through Tempe Kiwanis Park and promotes awareness of the cause and a cohesion or unity for those who participate. Many view this event as a means to heal and help others through this terrible tragedy that affects so many.
Another aspect of the event is our Car Show. Last year, we had roughly 150 cars participated drawing in thousands of spectators.
This year, we decided to combine the Car Show and Walk to provide participants with an even better experience than they have had in years past.
Lastly, we have numerous community service organizations in the valley attend the event to provide valuable resources to those in need.

We are working with the Wickenburg Chapter of Cops Who Care just like in the past years. Meeting place for anyone that wants to cruise with us up to Wickenburg will be at 51st Avenue and Bell in the Kmart Parking Lot at 9:00 am and we will be cruising at 10:00 am. In Wickenburg there will be raffle prizes, Chinese auction, vendors and craft sales, 50/50 drawing and we will be joining the great oldies from the Cruisin DJ's.
