Help? O-ring or no o-ring on bottom of 92 injector
Hi All,
Plenum's off, replacing the larger O-Ring seals on the primary injector housing and I have 16 identical injectors with blue O-seals on *top* and *bottom* from FIC. Literature seems unsure as whether the bottom O-ring (on the flange) should be there or not there on the 1992. The 'Tech data' sheet seems to contradict it! I can't see any harm in leaving the bottom o-ring on there, but any quick advice before I just go with my gut-feel (and 50% getting it right!) appreciated. Steve |

Re: Help? O-ring or no o-ring on bottom of 92 injector
OK, I re-read, and in summary I *think* I understand how it's written.
1993-95 new injectors: identical in design. Small O-rings on both top and bottom tip / flange. 1990-92 (so what mine are): Small o-rings on top. *No* small o-ring on bottom tip/flange. Instead, larger O-ring fitted into IH which seals the injector. Note: the reason for the question is that they came fitted already, both sets marked primary and secondary, with the smaller o-rings top and bottom. So just checking. |
