Lug nut covers
Some of you are using the C6Z wheels on your C4, as I am. Due to the rear offset and use of a spacer, I installed longer wheel studs (GM Racing) for extra safety. That forces the use of open back lug nuts but the nut covers barely thread on. In particular, I am using the GM wheel lock and that makes it necessary to drill the cap so the wheel stud has room to poke thru. One other point, the plastic caps SUCK. Unless you leave them black, any "chrome" or paint ultimately flakes off.
What are lug/cap combo is any else using for these wheels? Recommendation? I've been looking for the CTS-V caps which are supposed to be metal, not plastic.

Re: Lug nut covers
I put this link up over at the other forum but maybe if others are interested in different covers here's what I believe should be readily available:
http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearc...start=0&num=25 I believe that all M12 wheel nuts will have M24 external threads. Like I mentioned over there if your interested in the CTS-V product take a wheel nut and walk-in to a Cadillac dealer and ask! If they're GMPP wheel studs they should have a dog-point and you could trim the dog-point if you needed. Last edited by WVZR-1; 07-14-2014 at 09:55 PM. |
