Default Opinions on hoodscoop

Fellas..Ive had the pleasure of speaking to a few of you over the phone already.Even received some good help on some running issues already..A little intro about me..Im out of NJ and currently own a 91 Black/Black Z..Car has a Vette Docs 368 build,Watson Headers with a full catless 3' exhaust,Mark H tune,Coilovers,Big brake Brembros, and alot of other stuff..The car has 70k on it and was a former road course race car as it came with alot of documentation, build sheet/specs,and sponsership decals. The car currentl makes 458rwhp.Although it is in great shape,it is far from perfect..It has its share of scratches, needs new moldings,ect..Definitely a driver..Reason for the post is Im looking for opinions on a look that Im going for..I know alot of the purists are gonna hate it and I would never butcher a near mint car..My car is a driver with 70k and to modded to ever be returned to its original state..So I spotted this LT4 C4 online just browsing and I actually loved the way it looked..It is painted in JD Blitz Black and he has an old Stingray hoodscoop molded into his factory hood..To me it looks menacing.Im not one to really ever care what people think..However I dont want to be a laughing stock either when I show up on some of the cruises.Mine is the one with the cover on it..Honest opinions please..

Are you thinking of painting the car flat too, or just adding the scoop?

I love your wheels, BTW

It "may" not be for everyone but it's your car and you should do what you want. Life's too short not to have what you want out of it!!

I don't think your taste sucks at all. While not for me, I'm anxious to see how it looks when you're done.

You should plan on coming to the NCM C4 Gathering in May. It's always a great time for ZR-1 folks! I'm sure many people would like to see the finished product.

I think it's cool you posted up here looking for opinions.

I agree, the scoop looks a little out of place on a C4. It's a cool scoop though, it would look better on another application. I've never been much of a scoop guy...unless it was functional.

I think some cars look great with a matte finish like that, but IMO the C4 doesn't have the lines for it.

Whatever you do, I hope you do it your way and you're happy with the end result.

Yep..Plan on going to some of the events..Trying to get her buttoned up for spring..Just placed the stock wheels up for sale to fund a new 7 piece molding kit..Once received it will be going to the bodyshop with the new molding kit and hoodscoop..I used to work in a bodyshop back in H.S..Just dont have the time anymore to do anything that takes longer than 2-3 days..Appreciate all opinions..

Scoops ok, but don't like flat black. Looks worn out.
Like others have said "ain't my car"
