Re: LOW-TIRE-SENSORS if i remove them???

Re: LOW-TIRE-SENSORS if i remove them???
When I pulled them on my 91..the light never came on. I pulled them on my 92 and they came on after 2-3 drives and stayed on. I am pulling the bulb when I send off the radio to be rebuilt next week.

1. Remove 4 screws that secure the console door, lay the door behind the pass. seat. 2. Remove the 3 screws securing the console trim plate. 2 screws in the rear, 1 screw under the front cupholder. 3. Use a thin blade screwdriver to pop the shift pattern cap off of the shifter, then get a visegrip on the retainer and wiggle it a bit while pulling up on it to remove it from the shift knob. You may have to rap the retainer a bit with a punch to loosen it up. Once the retainer's out the knob will screw off of the shaft. Next, get a small hex key to loosen the screw on the reverse lockout ring and pull the ring off. 4. Work the console trim plate up and off. You'll have to disconnect the cables for the rear hatch switch and cig lighter, then wiggle the boot retainer up and off of the shaft along with the rest of the trim plate. 5. Go up top and remove your middle a/c vent. It's secured by 2 torx screws (T-10's, I think). Now remove the dashboard trim panel, it's got 3 screws...2 on the bottom, 1 up top. There's also a retainer clip on top that you have to be a little careful with, but it's easy to slip out. Once that's done, pull the panel toward you to get enough room to disconnect the pwr key cable from the switch. 6. Now you're ready for the DIC. I seem to remember 2 or 3 screws that fasten the DIC to the dash (don't remove the 4 small screws that hold the trim frame around the display). Pull the DIC out towards you. Once you work it out far enough, you can manuever the cable out to the point that you can see the light bulb cables and connecters going into the rear of the DIC. Simply rotate the connectors about 1/8 turn and the cable will pull away from the display with the bulb. Remove the bulbs that you want, then reverse the entire process. Should be pretty easy...hope I didn't forget anything. If you take your time it's about a 1/2 to 1 hour job. Besides the tools mentioned above, have your small socket set, phillips screwdrivers, and a shoplight (I disconnected my battery 1st. Hope I covered it correct, good luck.
