I might be wrong, but I am wondering if it was a housefire; in order for the heat to melt the rims and intake it would need something to hold the heat in like the structure of the home....oven effect

Our 1st 89 and 1st GS looked like that if not worse (melted rear & ZF) from a house fire. Not even a VIN plate was left.
