To bring this to a close, I need to give a shout out to Jegs. I figured I would need to pay return shipping on the wheel, but they covered it

Even though I asked about the depth of the lugs, I'm sure they could have said return shipping was on me ... I'm happy with their customer service!

For future reference, the 17x11 36mm wheel I received looks like the attached image. It's hardly a deep lug wheel at all.
