Default where is the CAGS 1-4 plug located

i have never seen the first to fourth light come on and would like to know if the previous owner disabled it with a plug or chip. where is the plug located?

Drivers side of the transmission about halfway back.
If you don't get a 1-4 shift light then most likely you have an updated prom that has it disabled. (assuming that the bulb isn't removed or burn out)

Just unplugging the plug disables the CAGS but does not disable the idiot light.

Hello from Switzerland,

At Mid America Motorworks you can buy the 6-Speed Skip Shift Bypass to
protect the open ends of the harness. If you don't protect them you can
get some problems (corrosion) with the connectors of the harness and you won't be able to re-connect them later for full CAGS function. If the connectors are corroded the system fails.

As I said it can be bought at Mid America Motorworks:

# 603-699 89-95
# 603-701 1996

I made this installation on both C4s (the ZR-1 and the '91 L-98 Coupe)
and I think it is easy and a good idea to protect the connectors.
