Anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area?
I'm interested in a ZR-1 in that area and was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at it for me.
I'm trying to find the replacement for my '91 that was taken by Hurricane Isaac. I haven't come to terms with my insurance company yet, but wanted to go ahead and get the search going for the replacement. Thanks, Jep |

Re: Anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area?
Thanks for the offer. I ended up backing off of that car because of paint issues (swirl marks, chips and scratches). I just got back from Florida with a super clean 1991 Steel Blue Metallic car with 62,000 miles.

Jep, congrats on the new "Z"!! At least you'll have some new bumper moldings if you need them.

Re: Anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area?
Interested to see it. Does it need the usual TLC, or is it it nearly perfect?

Re: Anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area?
Daniel, CJ, Brett & Mike,
Thanks! It is Steel Blue Metallic with matching interior. Car has had a repaint. Paint is not perfect, but not too bad either. Car is not show quality, but is very clean. Looks to have been garage kept through most if not all of it's life. Engine top end needs to be re-finished, but engine compartment and undercarriage are very clean. Mechanically and electrically, it's very sound. The only issue so far is a bad AC compressor, which was disclosed by the seller. I haven't had a chance to get any pictures yet, but here are some from the seller's ad: Plans are to install the following, which I alraeady have: C5 Z06 calipers and rotors Polished GM A-molds (17x9.5 & 17x12) with Michelin Pilot Sports 4.10 rear Swaintech coated SW headers Corsa exhaust ZF Doc beam plates and short throw shifter AO Engineering air filter housing It sure felt good to be behind the wheel of a Z again (it's been about 2 years). Permagrin is back!! More to come!! Jep |
