Default Chip Decode

So I took the Z from Texas to California and finally took a look at the chip. As I expected it is not a stock chip:

Chip is as follows:

Z-Industries INC
Z-IND 2002 49 STATE
90 ZR1 Race/prgm/32
Auto 262722 1317C0C
Not CARB Legal

So what do I really have here. I do know the 1 - 4 shift is disabled.

I ask because one of these days my Texas registration will expire and California will have me.

Thanks for all the help.

These guys:
http://www.z-industries.com/
Were big in the early days of ZR1 modding.
I've seen quite a few of their chips over the years.
Not sure what all they offered besides the removal of the skipshift and better cooling.
I may be wrong, but I seem to remember they were in cahoots with TeamZR1 (also located here in Cali)
http://teamzr1.com/

Give 'em a call, I'm sure they will know what it was and what they did.

You might need a more stock one to pass the ever tightening smog check. The one my car came with is all stock until the higher rpms- that one can pass clean since the emissions check is at lower speeds and engine loads.

Talked with Z industries and they were not that much help. Basically he thought puitting a stock chip for future California emission test would be the right path.

So in saying that is the Haibeck chip stock minus the factory fixes? Or should I start looking for a "stock" chip?

You can buy one of the aftermarket piggy-back chips, but just have it flashed to stock. finding a genuine prom for your year might be a little more difficult.
